Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how TmpMails, independently maintained by Tom Mcfly, handles information when you visit the website or receive temporary email. It covers mailbox data, browser cookies, analytics, advertising and support.

Mailbox information

To receive and display email, our servers process the allocated address, browser identity, sender, recipient, subject, message body, timestamps and read status. Infrastructure and email-processing logs may contain technical information and message metadata. Support requests include the information you choose to send.

Cookies and browser access

A persistent cookie associates your browser with its allocated inbox. Language preferences may also be stored. You can manage cookies through your browser, but deleting or blocking them can prevent access to the previous inbox. We do not provide a public account or password-recovery service.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics and Umami measure visits and feature usage. Our custom Umami events send action names without email addresses, subjects or message bodies as event properties. Google AdSense may use cookies and process page, device, IP and advertising information. Third-party processing is governed by the relevant providers’ policies and your settings.

How information is used and processed

Information is used to deliver messages, maintain browser access, operate the service, diagnose faults, understand usage and respond to support requests. Hosting, database, email infrastructure, analytics and advertising providers process the information needed for their functions. Processing may occur in different countries or regions. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address abuse and security incidents.

Retention and clearing the inbox

Closing a page does not automatically delete its mailbox data. Clearing the inbox removes messages from the active inbox and currently moves copies into a server-side archive. It does not immediately erase all stored copies. We do not promise a fixed mailbox lifetime or permanent availability. Contact support with requests concerning retained information.

Security and third-party content

Temporary email is not an end-to-end encrypted or permanent mailbox. Avoid sending sensitive information or using it for important accounts. Received HTML may load remote content, and following email or advertising links can disclose information to third parties. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and policy updates

You can stop using the service, manage browser cookies, adjust Google advertising preferences and contact support with privacy, access or deletion requests. We may need to verify a request and consider applicable retention obligations. The service is not designed for children. Material policy changes will be identified on this page with an updated date.
